General care information
Who doesn't like coming home to a shiny new kitchen? It doesn't take much to keep everything as good as new for as long as possible. The kitchen collections from Villeroy & Boch make it particularly easy for you. They have been developed in such a way that cleaning and care can be carried out easily and without much effort, almost in passing. Simple household products are often enough - which is good for the environment and certainly good for you too. So you can make the most of your time, for example with a relaxing bath. Under this menu item you will find lots of information to help you keep your kitchen looking like new for a long time. Plus some extra tips from our employees' many years of consulting experience and new findings from our research.
Daily care
Villeroy & Boch kitchen ceramics have a smooth, dense and virtually scratch-proof surface that is resistant to all common household acids and alkalis. For daily care, you often only need clear water and a damp cloth. Water marks, grease and soap residue can be easily removed with a bath or vinegar cleaner. If you want to avoid "chemicals" altogether, use household vinegar or diluted vinegar essence. This quickly removes limescale deposits. If the stains are a little more stubborn, you can leave a household cloth soaked in vinegar to work overnight. Mild limescale removers or vinegar cleaners are also available from specialist retailers, which you can use in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Caution is advised with all substances with a high fluorine content, such as those found in rust removers and toothpastes. Prolonged exposure can cause stains to form. Therefore, remove residues immediately! For heavier soiling, we recommend liquid or creamy, non-abrasive bathroom cleaners. The effect of these products is further enhanced if you use a soft, non-scratching sponge.
Important notes
You should read the manufacturer's recommendations for use carefully. If in doubt, you can test the cleaning and care product on a non-visible area. You should definitely avoid very aggressive cleaning agents, which can scratch the ceramic surfaces and thus impair the outstanding properties of Ceramicplus or even destroy them if used continuously: e.g.
Scouring milk or scouring powder
Highly concentrated drain cleaner
Valve and steel cleaner
Powdered WC cleaners
We recommend avoiding their use altogether or, in the case of drain cleaners, tap cleaners or steel cleaners, avoiding direct contact with Kermaik.
