Who doesn't like coming home to a shiny new kitchen? It doesn't take much to keep everything as good as new for as long as possible. In addition, the kitchen collections from Villeroy & Boch make things particularly easy for you. They have been developed to ensure that cleaning and care can be carried out pretty much effortlessly.
Simple household products are often enough - which is good for the environment and certainly good for you too. Once you’re done, you’ll be able to spend your time doing something else, for example soaking in a relaxing bath!
Here, you’ll find an array of information to help you keep your kitchen looking like new for a long time to come. Our team has also compiled some extra tips based on their extensive consulting experience, and on our latest research.
Daily care
Villeroy & Boch kitchen ceramics have a smooth, dense and virtually scratch-proof surface that is resistant to all common household acids and alkalis. For daily care, you often only need clean water and a damp cloth. Water marks, grease and soap residue can be easily removed with a bathroom or vinegar-based cleaner. If you want to avoid “chemicals” altogether, use household vinegar or diluted vinegar essence. This will quickly remove any limescale deposits.
If the stains are a little more stubborn, leave a household cloth soaked in vinegar to work overnight. Mild limescale removers or vinegar-based cleaners are also available from specialist retailers. Use these in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
Caution is advised with all substances that have a high fluorine content, such as rust removers and toothpastes. Prolonged exposure can lead to the formation of blemishes. You should therefore remove residues immediately! For heavier contamination, we recommend liquid or creamy, non-abrasive bathroom cleaners.
The effect of these products will be boosted if you use a soft, non-abrasive sponge.
Important
Read the manufacturer's recommendations for use carefully. If in doubt, test the cleaning and care product on a non-visible area.
Steer clear of very aggressive cleaning agents, which can scratch ceramic surfaces and compromise the outstanding properties of Ceramicplus – or even cause irreversible harm if used continuously, e.g.
Scouring cream or scouring powder
Highly concentrated drain cleaner
Taps and steel cleaner
Powdered WC cleaners
We recommend avoiding the use of these products altogether or, in the case of drain cleaners, tap cleaners or steel cleaners, avoid direct contact with ceramics.
